thoughts on warBelow is an email I recieved from my brothers wife and sister in Christ. Below is her dads thoughts on the situation in Iraq. Very insiteful. I hope to be as wise as this man some day. *** I truly believe the evil one is stepping up his activity which is manifested in death, destruction, and hatred--all are, it seems, on the increase around the world. I support our President who has made difficult decisions with amazing resolve to pursue what's right because it's right, not because it is politically expedient. I'm impressed by his humility before the American people and before God. Because he is the most powerful man in the world, President Bush's stand for the right and good inevitably places him face-to-face with the "world-forces of this darkness." I seriously doubt the confrontation with Iraq will be the end of it. Because the United Nations is a human institution and represents many countries that serve the purposes of the evil one, it will never support the critical resolutions that stand for righteousness in the eyes of our good, loving, holy Creator God. President Bush has taken a bold step to act on his conscience rather than succumb to the pressures of political rhetoric. The Spirit of God is present among our troops and I'm not surprised to see him moving in the hearts of individual soldiers. I pray the Spirit will go with our troops as they enter Iraq and use our military personnel in ways that will cause many Iraqi people to know the one true God who loves them and is pursuing them so that they might be blessed by His immeasurable goodness and grace. Is it possible that after the war God would sweep across Iraq and add many souls to His kingdom? I wonder how many Muslims would eagerly receive the gospel of Christ if the threat of death were not hanging over their heads? Do we have missionaries ready to enter this window of opportunity?
