Bittersweet Amazing WeekThe last seven days have been one of the most amazing seven day stretches I can recall. I have finally slowed down so I am going to tell you a bit about it. Last week on Monday I finished a class that had been giving me problems all semester. Joyous day! Tuesday I was finished with finals completely! Since then I have been going nonstop, but it has been a good go. I have had some awesome fellowship with many of my close friends and family members, I have done some really fun things, I have graduated, been commissioned, watched as a couple committed their lives to each other and also, sadly, lost a friend of mine to a tragedy. I have had conversations with some friends that I will probably not see again until I see them in Heaven. Those are generally awkward... and hard... the people I interacted with this week are the people who shaped me while I was in college... Many changes are on the horizon and I am looking forward to those changes, I am ready to take the challenge of being an officer in this great nations Air Force. I leave for Keesler Air Force Base on July 19th. Until then I will be working for my dad on the farm and visiting friends around the state Kansas and in Colorado. Upon completion of training in Biloxi I will be headed for England. And I am very excited. Probably one of the coolest things I did this week was take a walk at sunset around a pond with my five year old cousin, Allyson. It was the most beautiful sunset I have seen this year so far. I love spending time with kids and doing that and seeing how excited she got over simple things brought some joy to my life. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." - footprints of Chad, 11:02 PM
