Eagles 20, Packers 17

I know... this is old news... but what an amazing game. To bad I spent the entire game watching the stats roll by on NFL.com(munist). Over the past few years my interest in the NFL has waned a bit. Partly due to my growing interest in college football. The thing that frustrates me now is that if I want to listen to a game over the web they want to charge me some ungodly amount... it's just streaming audio... most good radio stations provide it for free. Now this is the first year they have charged and I am sure they are banking it all. I think they must have decided that radios had no right to broadcast a description of their game. And for heaven's sake don't share any footage with ESPN so they can broadcast it over ESPNMotion. I guess it might break them if their fans that don't live in the US could actually watch a highlight or hear a game once-in-awhile. I mean shoot, I don't live in the US... I have no right to watch or listen to an NFL without their written permission probably. Anyway... that's not really what I wanted to blog about.

My cousin is the punter for the Eagles. He had a really good game. The thing is no one ever really notices the punter until he screws up or gets one blocked. If you watched the game you may not have even noticed that in the OT he kicked the ball 50 yards and then ran down the field and got the tackle only allowing a 15 yard return. It's his rookie year and I am excited for him. I really hope he gets a Super Bowl Ring. That would be cool.

I should probably note that my favorite NFL team is Da Bears... They always will be my favorite team too... even though they suck and next year doesn't look good either. So... for now... GO EAGLES!!

I Have The Power

No... I don't think I am He-man... I just saw a He-man cartoon last weekend and it brought me back to the good old days of me and my brother battling it out in our basement with our two castles and all the figures to go with it. I had the bad guys and he had the good guys... I am going to say that I usually won... but Heath would probably tell you otherwise. ;)

I am so glad this week is over... it has been a long one. For one it means that I am that much closer to being back in the states and seeing my girlfriend, Jennifer! Plus it was hard going back to work this week because Monday was the first day I had been to work since the 24th of Dec. It was so nice to have a break! Anyway, this week I got sick... not so sick I could skip out on work but sick enough that I felt like poop all day while at work. :( I really wasn't that busy so that was nice but when stuff did come up I really didn't feel like putting much effort to it.

Let's see... this week I successfully submitted my application to Liberty University for Graduate school. This may come as a surprise to some of you because I have never really talked about getting my masters. I will be taking classes to work towards my MBA (Masters in Business Administration). Funny how things work out... when I was in High School I avoided business classes cause I knew I never wanted to work the business world. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do exactly but I knew it was anything but business. Well, that much hasn't changed. I still don't want to work in the business world. So you may be wondering why I have a businees degree already and why in the heck am I working towards a masters in business? For me it's simple... my undergrad focused on the use of technology in business which I am interested in and while I was at it I figured out how heavily business degrees focus on good management and leadership. And that is what I want... I want to be a good leader. If I could, I would get my masters in Leadership but KSU is the only school I know of that offers it and they don't offer it online. Which is how I am going to get my masters; online. It would be pretty hard otherwise cause Liberty U is in Virginia. The program is two years long and consists of twelve, eight week courses; most of which I have taken at the undergrad level.

Now another good reason for me to pursue an MBA is that I eventually want to be a teacher. Not that I really want to teach business... but an MBA is a good place to start. So no... I am not a Master of the Universe like He-man is... but I am hoping to be a Master of Business Administration.

Lost Email

I lost my email... it's gone. Not the address itself of course... but everything with it. My address book... my sent messages, inbox, trash, subfolders of saved messages... gone. How does this happen? Well, seems that when you update from Netscape 7.0 to 7.1 the computer thinks it knows what is best for you. Well, all it did was successfully delete every email I have gotten in the last 8 months. And the last time I backed up my stuff I forgot to back up my inbox. In a last resort effort I tried a system restore... but that only restores the settings... not lost files. I usually remember to save the files that go with my user profile when I update Netscape but I didn't this time... it really sucks to loose that much email.

Really the whole point of this post is... if you have sent me an email in the last month or so... I was planning on replying to you soon... now I can't.

I suppose the worst of it is the pictures that I hadn't gotten around to saving yet, the cool links that people have sent me, the messages that I had saved in subfolders for some reason or another, the messages that I was planning on replying to and hadn't yet, the email addresses that I had put in my address book (luckily i have a back up of those), and some of which... that I've gotten in the last week or so... that I hadn't even gotten around to reading yet. What a bummer...

So... friendly reminder to the few people out there that actually download there messages to their computer and don't use web based mail or AOL... back up your inbox. Do it for yourself so when things go bad... and they will... you won't have to suffer to much.

I have been sending and recieving email for 7 years... only one other time have I lost all my email and that was over 5 years ago... I had forgotten how much it sucked.

Some of you may be wondering why I use Netscape in the first place. Well, for one, it is less susceptible to virus attack since most viruses use features of Microsoft to exploit users. I also use Netscape because that is what I have been using since the first time I checked my email. I don't browse with Netscape anymore because Microsoft successfully made explorer the only browser that would work for certain things... which is a crock... but it is the truth. I also use Netscape because I like some of its features over Microsoft. The one I really don't like that is tempting me to stop using it is how dumb it is when it goes to update.

Anyway... sorry if you have sent me an email lately and I haven't gotten back to you... I really had planned to. Please if you have sent me and email lately go through your sent box, find it and send it again if you really want me to read it and reply.

I will be returning to the US on the 13th. Jen will be picking me up from the Airport in KC. I can't wait to see her. The internet has really been helpful in staying in good communication with her. We talk either on the phone or over the web almost everyday. The 6 hour time difference does make it difficult sometimes but we manage. We'll be celebrating Christmas with my family while I am home. I am looking forward to that.

I am returning to the states to go to some training at Maxwell AFB. I know a Major that is stationed down there and I excited to see him and his family again and go to his church while I am there.

I've been having a bit of trouble finding a church here that I fit into. With as many people in the region where I live you'd think there would be a good church. I have yet to find one that I like.

Well, my lunch break is over so I should get back to work. :)
