The World Comments

I found this on the BBC International site... people from all over the world leaving their comments about the election. It's amazing to me how both sides feel the other side is uninformed about the issues and can't accept the truth of what is "really" happening in the world today. One quote I particularly liked:

The US elections have turned out to be the greatest show on earth. America votes and the rest of the world holds it breath in anticipation.
Raphael Luethi, Schaffhausen, Switzerland

Another thing... Many of the quotes reflect that if Bush wins the USA may, at the end of 4 years, no longer be a super-power. Nonsense...

Bush Won

Of course it will probably be debated for the next couple weeks... NBC and Fox are reporting that Bush won Ohio. CNN, CBS and ABC are not reporting. According to CNN numbers he won that state. As I type this Bush is leading in Ohio by 140,000 votes and there are only 106,000 votes left to be counted. Do the math CNN. I got those numbers your site. (I write this like someone from CNN will actually read it. HA!)

Anyway... thank goodness Bush won. I've heard all the arguments about how bad he is as a president and most of them are based on "facts" from Farenheit 9-11. Nice try.

Some major things are at stake the next 4 years including:

1. Supreme Court justices
2. Defense against terrorists
3. Abortion
4. Homosexual marriage
5. Embryonic stem cell research

Over the next couple weeks (when my classes at Liberty are done) I will present my views on each of these topics. Not that anyone cares to much what I think but hey... that's what blogs are all about.
