It's Good to Know your Appreciatedhttp://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,153293,00.htmlApparently the Afghanistan people want a permanent US presence in their country... could be interesting. Pretty sure that wouldn't be the assignment of choice for most people. - footprints of Chad, 5:58 AM .:

SkypeIn + SkypeOut = Cheap and Great CommunicationSo, I get done eating dinner tonight and I am watching TV. All the sudden I hear my computer ringing... I jump up and get my headphones on and click 'answer call' on my Skype screen. Who is it? It's Jen driving home from her practicum. Is that cool or what? I live in England and Jen is calling me with her cell phone and it didn't cost her any more than it would have if I had been living in say... Colorado Springs. That's because I have a SkypeIn phone number. A United States phone number (specifically, Colorado Springs) in which people in the USA can use to call me on my computer without paying international calling rates. It will cost me about 40 dollars a year.Soon I will be purchasing a phone that will hook up to my computer and I won't have to answer Skype calls on my computer; I will be able to answer them on my phone. This phone will accept calls to my regular UK land line phone number as well. Plus I will be able to use this phone to call people in the USA and the UK (and lots of other countries for that matter) for 2.1 cents a minute using SkypeOut. But better yet... if the person I am trying to call is a Skype user, I will be able to call them for free, anywhere on the planet, as long as they have a broadband connection. Soon I will be able to answer calls to my Skype account on my cell phone and here in the UK you don't pay for incoming calls... what's that mean? People in the US who get free nights and weekends will be able to call my SkypeIn number and no matter where I am at I will be able to talk to them... for free! In total people all over the world have used Skype for over 7 Billion minutes; 160,000 new users sign up every day and that number grows daily. The way people communicate is changing. Are you going to be on board? Read more about the neat things you can do with Skype at SkypeJournal.com - footprints of Chad, 5:38 PM .:

Been Busy...Man, have I been busy lately... haven't been paying much attention to the online world lately. So what's been going on lately... I've been trying to help plan a wedding from 5,000 miles away, i've been doing school work for my online classes I am taking and I have been volunteering with the Youth Group on base and the Boy Scouts... and that doesn't include working. Anyway... I am going to Normandy again in 2 weeks with the Boy Scouts. It one of the Boy Scout gatherings in Europe and they only do it every other year. It should be a good time. Anyway... It's off to bed for me now. - footprints of Chad, 4:40 PM.:
