Stonehenge Up Close!

While my mom and my cousin were in England we took an early trip to Stonehenge and were able to approach the old massive stones. Us and a family of four were the only ones there the morning we went. Typically when visiting Stonehenge the closest one can get to the stones is about 30 feet. When you set up a special appointment you can walk right up to the stones... It was my fourth trip to Stonehenge (I went with different people each time) and it was definitily worth it. I am not a druid and I don't worship any type of sun god but ... it was still pretty amazing to see these stones that are so massive and old and were once arranged so perfectly but yet no one really knows who built them. Many people I know that have visited Stonehenge find it quite boring... but if you try and learn what little is known about them and use your imagination to see what it was like when it was originally built, your trip to Stonehenge can be well worth it. Posted by Picasa
