Vacation Bible SchoolWow! What a week it has been so far! I have been volunteering with the Chapel to help put on Vacation Bible School for the kids at RAF Croughton. We've had around 70 kids each night and what a joy it has been. It has worn me out but it has been a joy.We do it in the evening because most of the volunteers work during the day. I am doing the same bit I did last year which is leading the songs at the beginning and the end. During the opening and closing I go over all the things kids are learning while at VBS and sing lots of fun songs the kids love. This years program is really great... It's called "Fiesta! Where kids are fired up about Jesus!" It has done a really great job of teaching kids about Christ and what it means to follow Him. I've had 3 year olds come up to me excited to tell me that they know Jesus and like to pray to him before they go to bed at night. I've had older children tell me they understand that they need to ask Jesus for forgiveness when they do something they know is wrong. It's just really been a blessing to be a part of it all. It takes a lot of people and a lot of work to put on but the impact is literally priceless... it's eternal. - footprints of Chad, 5:06 PM
