What's All The Fuss?Cartoons? Offensive? Free Speech? Denmark? Norway? EU? Mohammed? Riots? Overreaction? What's all the fuss? See for yourself. So yeah... if I were Muslim I might be offended. But I wouldn't burn the Danish flag, attack Danish Embassy's and attack other foreigners who have nothing to do with the cartoons. One USA Today writer put it this way:When they storm embassies and attack foreigners, they shouldn't be surprised when non-Muslims conclude there just might be some truth to the cartoons. Many people around the world found the movie Dogma to be offensive but there were no riots. There were protests... but no riots. Kevin Smith didn't have to apologize to Catholics and Christians the world over. Movies aside, political cartoons are known for stirring up emotions. That's what the cartoonists are getting paid to do. Stir up emotions and make a point with a picture. Some of the cartoons I found on this website really got some people hot in the hate-mail they sent the authors... but again... no one killed anyone over it or started buildings on fire or had riots in the streets over them. They just sent nasty-grams to the authors to make themselves feel better. I applaud one man in Stoughton, Massachusetts for taking a stand. I wish I had a Danish flag... they are a little hard to come by. Of course it seems to be fairly easy for the mobs and rioters to get there hands on them. Considering the cartoons were published in September Muslim leaders have had plenty of time to stir the populace and hand out propaganda and Danish flags so this could make the news... but why? Again I ask... What's all the fuss? It's just a cartoon. - footprints of Chad, 6:42 PM .:

Seahawks Loose! It's easier to say that the Seahawks lost the game than it is to say that the Steelers won... by all accounts the Steelers were pretty much out played... except the Steelers ended up with more points. So I guess since the Seahawks lost that kinda makes the Steelers winners... right? Well... here is what one Seatle news website had to say:Four crucial penalties. Two missed field goals by Josh Brown. Three dropped passes, all by tight end Jerramy Stevens ... A catch on the goal line with only one foot inbounds. Two calls by the officials that Seattle will be debating all winter, spring and summer. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/6420AP_FBN_Super_Bowl_Seahawks.html - footprints of Chad, 10:55 PM .:

A Disease affecting us allIf you didn't see Dateline on NBC Friday night you really need to go the this link and read about it and watch whatever video clips they have from it. It's the third time they have done a show like this and each time it more appalling than the last.Men of all ages, social classes, ethnicities show up to the house expecting to find a teenage boy or girl home alone... but they find cameras in their face. They met the "teenager" (who is actually an adult from Perveted-Justice.com) on the Internet and were hoping to have a sexual encounter. Why is this a disease affecting us all??? Fifty men were caught and charged in 3 days. Not only that but also as sick and wrong as this is I have a filling it only scratches the surface of what really goes in the dark corners of the Internet. What is the roots of this disease? Pornagraphy! It has power over men and it degrades women. I am not saying that just because a guy looks at porn he will solicite a 13 year old on the Internet... what I am saying is that over years of porn addiction it can lead to it in time. And with it being so easy to access over the Internet regular men find themselves fighting the lure access porn. Then after awhile the images and the videos aren't enough and these men find themselves in the local teen chatroom talking to some unsuspecting teen... men come up with new fantasies and want to act them out... so when the opportunity is there (in this case, with someone from Perveted Justice) they take it. Teachers, cops, bums, criminals, factory workers, song writers, firefighters... the list goes on. I urge you parents... figure out a way to monitor your child's online activities... your child will probably not be the one inviting them over to your house but... enough damage can be done in the chat room with dirty men sending them nasty pictures of their private parts. Talk about being scarred... Ok... I am getting off my soapbox. Want to read more about the Power of Porn... click hereand read the article by Gene McConnel at everystudent.com.
